Mac is a super smart and loving Border Collie who is ready for adoption.  He is 4 years old, he is a great weight at 40 pounds, and he has a medium length shiny black and white coat.  Mac is crate-trained, housebroken, and he knows how to sit, shake, and stay!  He is food motivated and eager to learn and please.  Mac is excellent on his leash and rides very well in the car. 
Mac is a sensitive boy and can be a little nervous when he meets someone new.  Once he gets to know you though, he’s a total love!  Mac is a medium-to-high Velcro guy.  He will hang out by himself but checks in on his people frequently.  Mac is a medium-to-high energy guy.  He enjoys playing with his humans – he loves playing with his soccer ball and catching a frisbee.  He also plays well with other dogs who like to run and chase him.  He is not pushy about it though - he will engage in play if his doggie pals invite him.  Mac has a lovely “off switch”, and after a fun day of play he loves to lay at your feet, get pets, and just relax.  Mac has not been exposed to cats. 
Mac’s ideal family is loving, fun and patient. They should also be committed to his ongoing training, which will help to exercise both his body and mind.  A fenced yard is ideal, other dogs are fine with him, and any children in the home should be over the age of 12.
