Kia is very low keyed and extremely quiet. He gets along well with most dogs (we always encourage proper introductions) and seems to have no interest in cats. He likes to go on long walks and exploring new territory. I dont have any history with him regarding being around children but his demeanor seems to indicate he would do fine around grade school age and older.

Kia does shed heavily once a year during the blowing-out season of shedding his undercoat. Generally, several brushings a week will help keep that in check during that time.
