Jeffery is an adorable and cheerful puppy boy! Although he is aged around 1-2 years old, he is young in his mind and heart! Just look at those big beautiful puppy dog eyes!! Irresistible! Super playful with an active spirit, Jeffery is a one of a kind, super cool dog. He is shaped like a whippet or mini greyhound and acts like one too. He lounges his long, lanky body along the couch and glides when he walks or trots. His footfalls are gentle and light with real speed attached when he wants to really run! He loves chasing toys and he will literally play and bounce all day long if you let him! For such a bouncy boy, he walks incredibly well on the leash.. almost never pulling ahead. He walks calmly at your side often checking in by making eye contact with his gorgeous eyes! 

Poor Jeff was completely skin and bones when he was brought to the previous public shelter. It has taken some time for us to put weight on him as it seems his malnourishment was more longterm. With a healthy diet and some guidance from our vet, Jeff is gaining weight and we are seeing some improvement in his stools!

Jeff is what we would call a fetch-a-holic! He will play fetch all day long if you let him. His most favorite toy is a big jolly ball or football shaped squeaker!  Jeff also gives the best greetings; he gives off huge circular tail wags and ridiculously adorable body wiggles! He is so easily entertained and is his happiest when he is simply hanging with his people and fav toys! 

Jeffery can be a bit insecure and shows that when meeting new people or if encountering something entirely new to him. Hell assess the situation and take a few steps back to provide some space for him to feel safe. After some "get to know" time with treat exchange, Jeff will loosen up and trust quickly! Hes a young, super eager and smart boy. He learns really fast and has a brain that needs to be worked and challenged. Jeff is not a sit at home all day couch potato!

Jeffery gets along pretty well with other dogs and is an all around great doggie! Hes on the more active side and is keen on running, taking long walks and hikes! Hes curious and enjoys exploring with people side by side. Jeff loves to be with people and involved in the action! 

Because of Jeffs insecurities, we recommend he goes to a home with children 14 and up and no cats.
