Romeo Romeo is aptly named, as he is devoted, loving, and wants to be near his people. He is a gorgeous 8 year old Border Collie type who first came to us after the death of his person, our own beloved volunteer, Michelle. He lives peacefully with cats, as long as they don’t run (then he will give them a playful chase). He could fetch tennis balls all day long, and just gets happier and happier with each toss. The only thing he might like better than people and fetch is ice cubes! He could eat them all day long! Romeo is crate trained but prefers to sleep right next to his person’s bed. He is not a fan of loud speeding cars and busy streets make him anxious; he prefers walking in quieter areas or on trails. He can respond defensively to other dogs who crowd him when he is on leash. He is a homebody and would thrive in a quiet or rural setting. He can become anxious when left alone for more than a few hours. Unfortunately his person has a new job that requires frequent overnight travel. Romeo is a dear boy with lots of love to give someone who has time to spend with him.
