Petey, a 1-2 year old, 79 pound Boxer and Mastiff mix, came in as a stray and was so shy at the shelter. A foster family came thru for Petey and he is now doing great there. From Peteys foster family:
We are fostering Petey until he finds a forever home. He is the BEST dog. I wish we had time for a young dog. 
He is AMAZING with every animal he meets. Big dogs, little dogs, cats, both male and female. He is slow to warm up to men but once he does its all snuggles and kisses.  
Petey does excellent on a leash. He enjoys walks :) 
He comes with a leash and harness.  
Rides great in the car. He doesnt bounce all over. He just lays down and waits to arrive. 
We are working on house training, other than an accident or 2 overnight, he is doing GREAT!!! 
Petey is crate trained, and knows to go in when hes in trouble or when I leave for the day. 
He doesnt mind being in there at all. He even likes to have other dogs come in with him. ? 
He is the SWEETEST boy. 
He likes to snuggle and be near people. He also loves to lay outside in the sun. 
We havent been around any small children, but has done fine with kids 10+.
