Spot is currently in a foster home and NOT at the shelter. To make an appointment to meet Spot please call our Adoption desk at 415.506.6225Spot was a surprise bunny. His family had several rabbits and well ...you know what happens when rabbits arent spayed or neutered! Now Spot is in a foster home living the good life and patiently waiting for his forever home. Heres what his foster "mom" says about him: Spot is very curious, friendly, outgoing, likes to play with toys and have space to do Bunny Binkys. I can hear him playing with his toys. Its so cute to hear him rattle the bells on them and move them around his area. Hell for sure need a variety of toys. Rabbits enjoy when you mix toys up so every few months I rotate them around. When I go in his area to play with him, he likes to give me the toy. Its pretty cute. Like all rabbits he uses his mouth/teeth to check stuff out. Its their way of tasting. This could be scary for young kids so he might be better with older children that understand this normal behavior. (He doesnt bite its just a nip. Distract him with a toy or veggie.) He likes to run over to greet me when I come in the room to say hi to him. He does not like to be picked-up or held like most rabbits. But he does enjoy being petted. I like to go sit in his enclosure and he runs around me, stops, eats some of his hay and then I pet him. He has done well with my dogs and cat. They say "hi" to each other through the x-pen bars. And sometimes they will run around together on either sides of the pen. Its my own private Indy 500! He will make a great companion to someone who wants fun company and to just to let Spot be.Marin Humane rabbits are companion house rabbits. They live indoors only and cage free- living in a pen or free-roam in the home. This lets them live much longer, happier lives! Indoor rabbits can live 12+ years and require a lot of time and commitment. In return they offer years of love and companionship!
