Meet Atlas, 

Our unique looking low rider.
Atlas was given away on Craigslist because his previous owner moved. The family who adopted him had him only for 3 days and then turned him into a kill shelter saying he bit their child unprovoked.
The previous owner contacted the shelter and said that he had never shown any undesired behavior. Due to the language barrier with the people who obtained Atlas through Craigslist the incident remains questionable.

He has proven himself at our rescue as a sweet little guy who does very well with other dogs, especially the girls. 
IMPORTANT:
He is cautions and it takes him a few minutes to warm up to new people.  He is not that friendly tail wagging little guy when he meets strangers. He is that type of dog you have to take and leave him be for 24 hours until he comes to you. If approached or overwhelmed to quick he can absolutely show nasty.!!!!  Once he is bonded he is fantastic but it has to be considered that when you will have visitors a slow introduction has to be done. He would benefit from working with a trainer, 


He rides great in the car and is house broken.
Due to the questionable incident (if it was true or not) we are looking for a home with no small children. Teenagers are preferred. 
We do not know how he is with cats.

The adoption fee is $350 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test, neuter and micro chip
