Description:
Howie is a 4 year old Catahoula Leopard mix. He is still full of puppy joy and play and is growing into a mature boy. It seems he hasnt had a stable home in his young life which has made him a bit unsure of new people and things. Slow introductions and a few treats turn that right around and he becomes a loyal friend who enjoys a good game of fetch, playing with his toys and learning his manners.

Howie is house trained, knows sit, stay and come. He is looking for a family who is willing to continue his training so that he can maintain his progress and grow into a confident, well behaved dog. He is crate trained and although he probably would like a spot on your bed, he does well sleeping in his crate. Howie will grow best in a quiet home where he can get used to your schedule.

A home with no children will set him up for success. He can be shy on walks until he gains confidence so a home with a fenced yard will help with his exercise needs. Howie gets along with other dogs and would do well with a patient dog who will accept his puppy behaviors and help assure him. If you enjoy working with a dog and watching them blossom, Howie could be a great match!

Howies adoption fee is $350; meet and greets can be arranged for approved adopters.
