Brownie is approximately 10 weeks old, weighs 10 pounds and is a stray puppy that is very lovable and playful. He is very smart and knows to do his business on the pee pads, as well as outside. He adjusted to my routine the first night he showed up and sleeps all through the night on the bed with me and wakes up by 6am ready to eat. He plays with my dogs and my foster puppy and tries to play with my cat and chase her, but she wants nothing to do with him.

He does excellent in car rides and rides with us every morning to take my daughter to school. He roams loose in my front yard and returns to the front door by scratching on the door to be let back in. He plays every day with my daughter once she returns from school. We take him with us on errands and everyone falls in love with him and his beautiful gray eyes. He does not bark much unless he wants to get on the bed or wants to be let back inside from the backyard. He does not jump on furniture. He is teething, which is expected of puppy this age, and has several chew toys, bones, rawhides, and ropes to stay occupied. We are in the process of learning sit. He is not kennel trained and we have not leash trained since he walks by my side when outside or when we leave to run errands. He discovered the food and water bowls the first evening with me and found my dogs’ beds as well and made himself at home. He got his first puppuccino so now looks forward to those treats.

If you are interested in adopting Brownie, click at the link below: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html
Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.

Brownie’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
