Meet Blue! This sweetheart was found in a rural area in Deep South Louisiana.
A kind woman who feeds some feral cat colonies noticed Blue sharing a meal with the cats daily.
So she talked to a local rescue and they got him off of the streets and into a foster home.
South Louisiana, like many areas currently, is completely overwhelmed with dumped creatures. Blue is the perfect boy. He’s gentle and loving and honestly just the sweetest.
He’s amazing with dogs of all sizes and LOVES kids. And obviously he’s great with kitties. He’s about 11 months old, 40 lbs., kennel and house trained. He’s also a bit of an escape artist, so he’ll need a home with a tall, secure fence. Blue is looking for his family. Preferably a group of humans that will play with him in the yard then let him lay on their laps at night.

If you are interested in adopting Blue, click at the link below: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html
Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.

Blue’s adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
