Meet our handsome boy Hayden. He is a 3 year old Catahoula. This guy has had a rough start in life. He was picked up as a stray in Louisiana and when nobody came for him he spent 250 days at the shelter. The shelter was full and he was out of time. Lucky for Hayden the hurricane was coming and they had to empty the shelter. He went into boarding and remained there until the all clear was given. Hayden was adopted into what was supposed to be his forever home. After a few hours there, his new momma went to get his leash to let him out potty. He took advantage of the leash not being on yet and ran out into the yard where he then climbed over the fence to greet and say hi to the people standing on the sidewalk. His momma went to get him and as she was approaching down the block a car pulled up and said come here doggy and Hayden jumped right in. His momma was yelling no thats my dog stop but they did not stop. Hayden was now gone. Everyone was searching a reward was offered. A week later Hayden was seen hiding under a house. A shelter volunteer who knew him went to pick him up. Hayden fought hard to get away from whoever it was that stole him. He had cuts and scrapes all over him. He was also branded with clippers where they cut his hair out to a certain design. This is done in dog fighting rings. However Hayden is no fighter quite the opposite. He LOVES all things people and gives great hugs and kisses. It was no longer safe for him to be in Louisiana. His dog nappers were looking for him. He is now safe, his hair has grown back and he is searching for his forever family. Hayden is neutered, up to date on shots, rabies, microchipped and on heartworm prevention. Hayden does well with most other dogs. He does not like cats. He will need a home with a fenced yard, but he must be kept on a leash or tie out as he can climb a 6 foot fence. His adoption fee is $350
