Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW??
Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :)
I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too.
I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. 
I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!!
I am heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am just on prevention for the rest of the year.
I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :)
I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy, about 65-70# and am 5 yrs old.
