Description:
Oh sweet frightened little Casey. How long until you understand a hand raised to you is bringing nothing but affectionate touch. That your food bowl will be filled regularly and you dont need to bury what you are given to make it last. That when you cant resist the cracked open door and run I will always find you to bring you safely home. It has taken you 10 years to become the dog you are and has only been one short month of watching you try so hard to overcome it.

What a conflicted little life to be so drawn to humans and so frightened of them. He is working so hard to overcome his fears. He stands nearby and watches longingly as the other dogs are snuggled. He hasnt been able yet to let himself approach. He has made a lot of progress in the last month he has been with me and can lay near calm people and relax, and occasionally I can pick him up, and everyday he is safe he becomes a little bit braver. Recently he underwent dental surgery and had 10 teeth removed and he is feeling so much better now. He is a fantastic canine pack member and gains a lot of confidence from other dogs, he also has much of his social needs met by interacting with dogs. He is cat neutral, ignores them completely. He is some type of small breed mix and comes from a past with a lot of dogs around and not many humans at all.

Casey will need a very special forever home. A calm quiet home that understands this isnt a dog who will walk into your home and settle in. A companion who will know how hard it is for him the first time he tentatively nudges your hand, and will rejoice in the meaning of it. A family who will work as hard as he will to come together over time to be safe and loved. He needs another stable happy balanced dog in the home to follow the lead of. He also needs a secure environment indoors and out, he is a flight risk due to his fear and open doors are especially tempting. I dont call him Casey the Escapee for nothing. He will also be required to wear a gps collar.

Casey is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and neutered. He is located in Tricities Washington. /Oh sweet frightened little Casey.
