Description:
Hershey is an almost 18 year old male who came to us after his owner passed. He has done well integrating with the other dogs and volunteers. Hershey weighs 11 lbs.

Hershey is the Yin Yang dog: He likes other dogs, unless there’s food involved. As one of our multiple unneutered males, he has marked. It’s unclear if this behavior would continue in a different environment, but either way, he does look cute in a belly band! The more gentle the interaction with Hershey, the more he opens up. He would do best in a patient home that would allow him to adjust to a new routine.

Hershey loves to curl up on a bed or a lap, but is not a fan of being picked up. He also loves to walk, but has to lead the pack. He’s also very active for his age, but loves to power nap.

Hershey has recently been neutered and had full blood work. His liver values were slightly elevated so he’s on a liver supplement. Hershey doesn’t have a single tooth in his mouth, but he does have a strong jaw so watch your fingers when giving treats.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
