Hi, my name is Buddy. I am a one-eyed pirate. YAR! Ive been at the rescue for a long time (a couple of years now) with little to no interest, but would LOVE a home to call my own. I am an older gentleman, at least 9 years old. I need to be be in a calm, quiet environment with no kids and preferably no other dogs or maybe one other calm dog. I love slow sniff walks around the neighborhood and sitting in the sunshine. 
Cats who wont bully me are okay. Since I only have one eye and am losing my hearing, I can get spooked easy. I need a home where I can be allowed my independence and then a person or two who let me initiate the cuddles when I feel safe. Therefore, I need an understanding human who will give me time to warm up on my time. Afterwards, I promise to be the most loyal and best buddy you could ever hope for. I am certain the perfect human for me is out there. We just havent found one another yet. A foster home with a patient, calm, and kind home would be just as lovely.
