EMMETT is an nice adult chihuahua who is fully vetted and seems good with other dogs. Were going to say no kids in the home for Emmett because he can be a temperamental stereotypical chi at times - from sweet to salty in a moments notice. Hes actually quite affectionate and lovey, but on HIS terms only. He likes to come to you and does NOT like being picked up so far. We estimate him to be 3-4 years old. His foster had tried him with their cats a few times and he always tries to go after them, so he’ll need a no-cats home, as well. And lastly, he’ll need a fenced in yard because even his experienced foster cannot get a leash on him (YEt at least) without him trying to nip / he’s not a fan. So a fenced in yard will be needed for his pottying (which is what his foster has now)

Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip at ~6 months at our clinic, free 30 days of pet insurance activated by a call, $60 reimbursement for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue.

We are still doing application processing virtually since COVID-19. Dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there are NO DOGS KEPT AT THE SHOP.

PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada -sorry!)
