Meet Gio! This tiny 4-year-old, 7lb chihuahua has a lot of personality for a little guy. He is very sweet at home and loves to snuggle on the couch. Gio is good with other dogs and would probably be best in a pack but could also be the only dog in the home. He acts like a tough guy on the leash and will stand up to dogs three times his size, so he needs someone patient and loving to help him to be confident and secure when meeting new friends. Gio tends to prefer women and does well with structure.

He would do best in a home where he is not left for long periods of time. Can you give Gio the best fur-ever home? He is neutered and up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $300.

All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.

Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,

vaccinations, medical treatments,

food and supplies. Please go to

and complete an application today!

All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
