This handsome little guy recently joined us after the landlord told his previous family that he wasnt allowed to stay.

Chinchillas make fun and entertaining pets for the right family, but they do need some special considerations. Chinchillas live 15-20 years, are strongly nocturnal and need large multi-level vertical cages. They are generally not cuddly, but tolerate pets and scratches for short periods. They are SUPER fast and when theyve had enough will bounce off the walls to play and avoid capture :) They have specialized diets and require dust baths to keep their dense coats velvety soft!
