Watson is a 2 year old cocker spaniel/labrador mix.  He is full of love & adores being the center of attention!  Watson is a great pup and will do best in a home with experienced dog owners.  In his foster home he has worked on a training plan with certified dog trainers, which will be shared and continued with any prospective adopters! Watson is very intelligent and truly loves to please you, making him a pleasure to train and work on his skills!

Watson is fairly high energy although he has a "small gas tank" and enjoys many naps throughout the day!  He enjoys going for walks and working on his training skills at the same time, to build his bond with his people.  A patient and loving home is the formula for Watsons success.  With some time, patience, and understanding of his needs, Watson blooms into a comfortable happy pet!  He loves to give kisses and get all the treats!  At times, Watson can display possession and body handling issues (more information and training plan will be provided to any prospective adopters), but with the right family that allows him the time to feel safe and comfortable, Watsons quirks balance out.  His foster family has learned that these quirks are what make Watson such a special friend and they have bonded as they learn more about each other! Watson needs a family who is willing to give him the time to get his groove and will receive a loving, loyal and devoted dog in return.

Watson currently shares his foster home with 4 cats and everyone gets along. The smarter, more dog-savvy cats let him know who’s really the boss and he respects them.  We think he would do well in a home with any dog-savvy cats.  Watson will not be adopted into a home with children under 15 years old.
