Sam is an approximately 17 year old DNA-sexed male Umbrella Cockatoo.  He is tame and handlable but plucked on his chest.  Children over 12 handled him and he is used to cats and dogs.  Sam needs a VERY active home where he is the center of attention!  Thoroughly vet checked including bloodwork.  His adoption fee is $600. 

PLEASE NOTE: Adoption applications for any Cockatoos will not be considered unless the applicant has previous large bird experience. Because large birds are so intelligent and have specific needs to live a happy life, we require their adopters to have personal experience living with/caring for large birds. If applying, please be prepared to detail personal experience. Cockatoos are difficult birds to live with. We ask that, before you fill out an Adoption Application, you to go www.mytoos.com and find out what it is like to live with a cockatoo. We do require you visit the site before we do any meet and greets.
