Description:
Gizmo is a 4-year-old 20-pound cocker spaniel mix that came to Multiple Breed Rescue after being released from a puppy mill.

Having spent his life in a cage, most things are new to Gizmo, and he has no idea how to really be a dog. He is working on basic manners, potty training, and leash training. He is crate-trained and has been keeping it clean in his foster home. Gizmo has not met any kids yet, is very nervous with his foster mom, and has no idea how to interact with other animals. He loves his foster mom and enjoys getting cuddles from and playing with her. Gizmos forever home should have a confident dog sibling, probably of similar size, to help teach him confidence. Small children may startle him so older children in his forever home may be ideal. Gizmo needs a family who will be committed to continuing to socialize him, work on training, and who is committed to teaching him that the world is not a scary place. He will require patience as he adjusts to life outside of the puppy mill.

If your family can be the patient, loving family Gizmo needs, please complete an application today!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
