Pet name:
Ava and Zazu
***We will NOT ship. If your application is approved, you will have to come pick them up if you are not local. Bonded pair***

Meet Ava and Zazu!

These 2 are rescues, so they will need lots of patience. They may bond better to a human if they have 2 cages side by side than in the same cage. We will not separate them completely, since theyโ€™ve been through enough and are bonded to each other. They are funny birds and love hanging upside down! Ha!

They do say a few words and love being spritzed with water daily. They are not hand tamed since they came from a bird hoarding situation, but could be hand tamed with some time and patience. They are DNA sexed male and female and are brother and sister, so they should NEVER be allowed to breed. Basically just donโ€™t let them have any nesting material or tent toys.

They are to be adopted together. The adoption fee is $600 total (not each). These birds are usually sold by breeders for around $1500 each! You will need to fill out the application on our website

I will require past bird experience, so please list them on the application. Please send pictures of the cage you would be using to house them in to The bigger the better, because they are used to a huge cage.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
