You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Judson came to the shelter after he was found running loose in a rural area. We held him for the legal hold time and no one claimed him. He is a definite hound dog and is happy and easy going. We think hes around 2 years old. He has been vet checked and neutered and his fee is $125.

As a hound, Judson is somewhat ruled by his nose. He gets a good scent and turns off his other senses. Because of this he needs a pretty secure environment. Free roam is not a good idea for any dog, but especially a hound. Hounds are good family companions. Judson seems okay with other dogs but we have no way of knowing about cats.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. Its exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
