Description:
Scooby is about 6 years old and came to rescue dragging his hind legs and is getting therapy to get them back up and walking. He has started to put his feet up under his body and do some walking, which being said, building up those muscles is challenging work and will take time. He continues to receive laser therapy and acupuncture treatments and is getting medication as the vet deems necessary. He is a happy boy with a tail wag now and is happy to be living his best life. Moving forward even if he gets full mobility back, he will need maintenance of laser and acupuncture every 3-4 months to keep his back healthy and avoid flare ups in the future. If you think he might be a dog up your ally and would like to meet him let us know. We could transition his therapy to the right adopter when the vet feels it is a suitable time to do so.

All our dogs are current on vaccinations which include Rabies and Distemper/Parvo, they are spayed and or neutered, have been fecal tested and heartworm tested, and had a dental cleaning if necessary. They are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative as needed in rescue. They all will have a microchip that will be registered in the adopters name and is good for a lifetime with no additional fees.

The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home inspection, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for all our dogs is $300.

We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs do not require a fence, if they can walk well on harness and leash. Decided by what is best for each dog individually.)

We are willing to adopt out-of-state applicants, but you must travel to the foster home location of your dog which is in Omaha or within a 90-minute drive from the Omaha area to meet and travel home with your dog. We do not transport or ship dogs.

If you are interested in adding this beautiful baby to your loving family, please visit our website and fill out an adoption application at http://www.nebraskadachshundrescue.org/adoptapp.htm
The Adoption fee is $300.
