Mike is a 7-year-old Doberman mix, adopted from a local shelter 7 years ago. Mike currently weighs 80 lbs. He is a goofy boy with the heart of a Lion! Mike is good with people and other dogs. He has not been around cats and he is not sure about livestock. He does have a fear of thunder so will need a safe haven during thunder storms so that he does not feel the need to try to escape. He loves walks and is good on a leash. He is a master lizard hunter and instinctually stays away from snakes. Mike has been an "outside boy but, because of his short coat he gets cold during the winter months and would prefer to be inside where he can snuggle-up next to you. Mike is housebroken and doggie-door-savvy. While Mike and Molly have been together for 7 years and it would be nice to be able to adopt them out together, their current owner feels that they may be able to be adopted out separately to the right families. If you wish to adopt Mike and Molly together their combined adoption fee will be $250. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From the UAF website, select the Apply for Adoption button on the dog page or open the listing of your chosen dog and select the Apply for Adoption button. If using Petfinder.com, please click the More About Us Button and that provides a link to our website. From there either select the Apply for Adoption button on the dog page or open the listing of your chosen dog and select the Apply for Adoption button.
