Julius is a 2 yr old, 10lb. orange Domestic Long Hair. Julius is very handsome but is a bit of an Oscar the Grouch. He has come a long way!! He has finally joined the other cats in the cattery and has begun to socialize with them. Julius used to refuse touches but now is allowing short turns of petting. He still likes to hiss, so would not be good around children or with a first time cat-owner. He loves that hes at Town and Country where he can take all the time he needs. He was a stray cat in Oklahoma and is still learning what it means to have the relaxed, cushy life of a pet. Julius loves wet food and allows being brushed by his favorite shelter staff. Julius would prefer a quieter home where he can just be Julius. He really just needs a cat bed and a couple of treats to be content. Julius is cat friendly but could do with or without cat friends. Julius is overweight but is not interested in exercise. The adoption fee is $125 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission. If you have other cats in your home, they must all be up to date and spayed/neutered prior to application submission. All members of the family must meet the pet. Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out. But we will coach you on alternative methods of managing cats with claws. *****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to email@townandcountryhumanesociety.org. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal. If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the cat team or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission.
