Smokey is a gentle cat in need of a patient, gentle adopter. Once Smokey gets to know his human(s) he is a lovely lap sitter. His foster family notes he really enjoys a laser pointer toy and just really does not understand other toys like a mouse or a ball. He likes quiet and we do not believe he would do well in a home with children.
His foster family noted that he does not like being held in your arms and then placed on the floor. They believe that may have to do with his prior leg injury. Placing Smokey on a mid-range surface from your arms makes him feel more at ease. 
We also recommend Smokey lives in home where he is the only kitty. Contrary to his gentle nature is his interaction with other cats.
