Meet Big Bad John! This fluffy bear is the most playful of them all. He will play with any toy you give him. He is very outgoing and adventurous. He is the perfect amount of mischievous and keeps you on your toes. There is never a dull moment with Big Bad John. On the rare moments he slows down, he is a big fluffy lap kitten. He is very handle-able. He could do well in a home with kids, other cats, and maybe dogs if provided a slow introduction. Big Bad John is about 6.5 months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Hed love to be adopted along with one of his eight foster friends, or into a home with another friendly cat pal he can be buddies with. Interested in John? Apply today! Disclaimer: John came to TCR with 11 other kittens around the same age. Three of the kittens were subsequently diagnosed with FIP. FIP is caused by a commonly contracted feline coronavirus (FeCV), which must mutate within the cat to become FIP. FIP can have a genetic component, making some littermates more susceptible to succumbing to the disease. We do not know which of these 12 kittens are littermates, as they were brought in from outside at the same time and are all around the same age. They have all been fostered together and have all had exposure to the FeCV virus. FIP most commonly occurs in cats younger than 1.5 years of age. John is currently healthy, but to be overly cautious we would want to discuss the typical symptoms of FIP and what to watch out for with any interested adopters.
