Description:
Gryphon and his sister Wisp love playing with toys, and they love each other! Their foster parent says ""Gryphon prefers to be under the bed most of the time when Im around, but is very active at night and has no problem running across the bed while I sleep. I did discover both of them sleeping under the bed covers yesterday afternoon. He still wont let me get too close, but will watch me from across the room. Wisp is a little more adventurous and has decided her favorite sleeping spot, when not snuggling her brother, is the top hammock in our kitty tree by the window. Usually I can approach her, let her sniff my fingers and pet her head, but just for a minute. Progress is slow, but there is definite progress."" Please note that Wisp and Gryphon have tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+), but they currently are healthy. Cats with FIV can live a normal life for many years. People and dogs cant get FIV and the only way FIV can be transmitted to another cat is through a deep bite wound. If you want to learn more about FIV, you can talk to a PAWS Adoption Counselor or look on the website of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Wisp and Gryphon have a close sibling relationship and are dependent on each other. Thus, Wisp and Gryphon are a bonded pair, who must be adopted together. Adopting them together is a win-win situation for all of you! Wisp and Gryphon will live happily ever after together and you will have two kitties who already get along and who will keep each other company when youre not home so you wont worry that theyre bored or lonely. If youre interested in becoming Wisp and Gryphons new person or family, click on ""How to Adopt"" in the drop-down menu under the Cats tab.
