Hi there, my name is Sherwood! I have quite the story to tell...a journey to share...a triumph to proclaim. I was an outdoor cat, to the truest definition. I had never known people or beds or toys or anything homey and good before coming to the shelter. I didnt know that life could be fun. That you could be loved. That people could be kind. I began my journey here with the volunteers, who championed my story. They saw me, for me. They knew I could have a wonderful life, but I needed help. They brought my tale to the staff, urging them to take this journey with me. So they did. The staff made lots of plans, created lots of ideas, but in time they realized I needed just that...time. I just need time. I have discovered that I love food. I enjoy snacks, treats, wet food, pretty much anything tasty. I love toys! Many of the staffers became my friend because they began bringing me cool toys every day. Playing with toys, smacking them around, chasing them...what could be better! I live in a colony room with other kitties and I like them just fine; its nice having human friends and feline friends. I have been here for a long time, working hard on my quest to become the best version of myself. My journey is far from over...I will need a family who wants to battle my demons with me, slay the dragon of fear, and celebrate the beautiful triumphs I do have. I need a family who is mature and wise in the ways of feline life. I need a family who will champion me, the way my shelter family has so far. I need a family who will see this journey to the end, and all the wonderful adventures in between.
