Howdy, partner! Names Woody. Im a 6-year-old (as of March 2021) short haired black and white kitty with big ol fat tom cheekers. Im a quiet and laid-back guy who is very food motivated. Im not a lap cat, but I dont mind petting. I get along well with other cats, and respectful kids and dogs would probably be fine. I recently had a dental. ""Id like to join your posse, but first Im gonna sing a little song."" I had the misfortune of finding myself in a rural animal control facility. Know how I felt about that? ""The word Im searching for I cant say because theres preschool toys present."" Luckily, the nice people with STLPR took me in, and Im looking for a home with you - ""I wouldnt miss it for the world."" So ""snap out of it"" and ""reach for the sky"" and apply for me right meow! #toinfinityandbeyond I test positive for FIV, which means either I carry the virus or I was vaccinated for it at some point. But guess what? FIV IS NO BIG DEAL! FIV positive cats can live as long as negative cats and may never have any health issues. All we need is good food, regular vet visits, a clean environment, and lots of love! FIV positive cats can also live with negative cats as long as the household is stable and everyone gets along, which is definitely the case with me - I live with my FIV negative friends and we get along great! FIV is spread to other cats through deep, vicious bite wounds that are uncommon outside of intact tomcats (and Im neutered!)If you have any questions or would like to meet this pet, please email contact@stlpetrescue.com.
