Description:
Meet Masala! Masala is a handsome tabby cat that came to EBHS very scared of people. He is spending time in a foster home where he has really shown his sweet and lovable personality. Some of his favorite things are kneading on soft blankets, getting his ears scratched, afternoon naps and playing with his favorite wand toy. He also enjoys foraging for his food with his puzzle feeder. He is looking for a patient adopter who will allow him some time to settle in to his new home. He has done well with a small dog in the foster home.

Masala is positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). FeLV is not a type of cancer, rather it is a virus that causes a weakened immune system. Cats with FeLV can live a high quality of life, but typically have shorter lifespans. FeLV is a species specific virus that only affects cats, so Masala will need to be the only cat in his adoptive home, but can live with dogs and other non-cat species. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
