Dale arrived as a stray from the streets. Even though we are not an animal shelter per se, we do take in an occasional cat as requested by their finder. Dale was trapped after the neighbors got tired of his visits. He is a big (14 pound), solid cat and is very friendly. No one has called to reclaim him. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Dale has probably been a house cat at one time, but has also lived inside/outside. Cats are ideal rodent control for all kinds of locations, such as barns, stables, warehouses, shops, arenas, breweries, garden centers, chicken runs, etc. While they may not make ideal house cats, they can make for great mousers. All working cats are fully vetted, including being spayed or neutered, and vaccinated. Individuals interested in adopting working cats must be able to provide the following: • Shelter in a barn, garage, outbuilding, etc. • Daily food and water (cats cannot survive on mice alone). • Veterinary care if needed. • A secure place (with their food, water and litterbox) to keep the cats confined for at least two weeks while they acclimate to their new home. Delivery may be possible. If you would like to meet Dale, please contact his foster mom at 406-782-5110 or kruzichjudy@gmail.com.
