Description:
THIS KITTY (Bramble) IN A NUTSHELL
Is he a lap cat? YES
Is he a head-butter? YES
Will he sleep with his person? ABSOLUTELY - FIRST, ON YOUR FACE, THEN PATIENTLY & DECOROUSLY AT YOUR SIDE
Funniest thing he does? WHEN HE "SITS IN YOUR LAP" BY BALANCING HIS WHOLE SELF ON JUST ONE OF YOUR LEGS
Most annoying thing he does? TRYING TO SLEEP ON YOUR FACE
Does he like being held/carried? NOT GREATLY, BUT HE DOES WANT TO FOLLOW YOU AROUND
Does he like being petted? LOVES IT - THROWS HIS WHOLE UPPER BODY INTO YOUR TOUCH...AS THOUGH IT WERE CATNIP
Does he want belly rubs? NO, BUT HE IS OBSESSED WITH SHOWING YOU HIS STRIPEY BELLY FROM EVERY ANGLE

Of a modest and self-effacing disposition (likely to be beaten up by other foster kitties but not to beat up on them), Bramble does like you
to know when its time to take a BRAMBLE BREAK. If you are typing and he
wants to focus your attention on him, he will come and lie across your
arms, put a paw on your hand, and roll around on his back showing off his
beautiful white/orange/brown stripy belly (one of his favorite things to
do as a way to communicate with you, though he does not seem to actually
want belly rubs). If you are sitting at your desk, he will stand on your
leg and give you head-butts or put his nostril in yours, with a guttural
breathy purr. (His head-butts can be classic, but can also be unorthodox, since he likes to smoosh his cheek into your nose, too.) When he opens his mouth during a head-butt, you will hear his how throaty and deep his purr can get.) Then he will lie beside you, his body touching your leg,
so you can pet him but continue what you were doing.

In bed, he might sleep on your chest, stomach, legs, or hip. Or right under your chin, where before falling asleep, he will roll around showing you his belly.
More intrusively, he loves to share your pillow with you, walking up and down under your neck and on your chest for a while before finally settling down into a sleep with his butt on or against your face on the pillow. Although he enjoys some independent alone time and space, he shows he is happy when you come home, for he gets up from his comfortable spot, from whatever he is doing, and comes to greet you, tail held high, to escort you to a place where you can have some reunion snuggling (pfff! youll get his shedding hairs in your face as he walks up and down in front of your mouth in summer weather). Sometimes, instead of escorting you he will run ahead to where he expects you will sit and will jump there, looking at you as he waits for you. He can be a bit restless before settling down on your lap, but once hes settled he tends to stay sleeping for quite a while, waking only to purr throatily if you pet him. He may not sit right in your lap; instead he might sit like a precariously-balanced loaf of bread on ONE of your legs, facing away from you; if he needs more support than there is room on your leg for him, he may spill an arm or two over onto your chest (even though your chest is vertical) or what youre sitting on. In short, hes got quirky ways of lap-sitting sometimes! (And he may just feel like sitting on the arm of your sofa, with his paw on your shoulder.)

By May 2022 Bramble will be two years of age, but hes got a surprisingly little-boy meow (he rarely uses it, for he is rarely importune and easy to make content). Light and lean, he loves to trot around exploring, tail held high, to test his balance, and to play. Though he may pick on a very submissive cat (and be picked on by a very dominant cat), he gets along well on the whole with other cats and gentle dogs. He has a loving, sweet-tempered, docile and agreeable nature.

Here are the questions wed like you to answer, please:

1. Can you share your views about feline nutrition and diet, as follows? Would you consider feeding this kitty dry food? If so, what brands and if not, why not? Would you consider feeding this kitty canned food? If so, what brands and if not, why not? Would you consider feeding this kitty raw food (either bought from a store or homemade) and if not, why not? Also, what kind of water would you offer this kitty and what brand of litter would you use in your litterbox? Thanks!

2. What are your views, pro or con, on declawing?

3. What sort of domicile do you live in (house, rented apartment, trailer, etc.) and who (please mention any and all humans and non-humans) lives there with you, please?

4. What are your views, pro or con, on neutering/spaying?

5. Under what circumstances would you consider parting with a kitty youd adopted? (We are 100% no-kill and would want to take back, at any time and for any reason, anyone you adopted from us if you wanted to part company with him or her.)

6. It can be very helpful, in determining whether Kitty and Human would make a good match, to have some information about the person, so if you could say something about your interests/hobbies/lifestyle/leisure pursuits, that would be great. Please also give a little information about your job/profession/source of income. Lastly, if theres anything you want to say about volunteer work youve done caregiving to non-humans (say, at a shelter or sanctuary) or about previous experiences you have had caring for your own or for others (say, as a cat-sitter or dog-walker), thats helpful too!

7. Finally [Optional], if there is anything about this particular kittys looks as shown in the photos/video or personality as written about in the post that particularly calls to you or speaks to you or appeals to you, please could you share that?

Thank you so much!
