Seamus is a 6 year old male tabby. He is very friendly, loves family time and is a great couch companion. He’s great around kids (older than 4). He will happily greet you when you come home and make friends with all your guests. He’s also trained to walk on a leash and harness and loves short walks. He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. Seamus has been having a hard time adjusting to a new home and baby, and is recovering from stress-related urinary issues. (He’s using his own litter box and is currently on a wet food-only diet.) Family recently relocated and also had a baby and Seamus just doesn’t seem all that happy these days. We surmise he is struggling with the change because he had a urinary infection and was peeing outside the litter pan. The family has been extremely diligent in vetting Seamus to get to the bottom of his situation. Sadly, they believe a new environment without children and other pets would be best for him, as this would likely reduce his stress. That said, we believe he’ll be healthier in a single-cat home where he has his own space. We also hope he can continue to go outside for walks with his new family. Despite all the challenges, his current family deeply loves him and the decision to rehome was not an easy one. CAP is helping Seamus’ family by posting him on Petfinder. Current mama and papa are desperately trying to find a loving family for him. Seamus is located in West New York, NJ. They can be contacted at: Heather, 561-706-9029 Charles, 954-940-1578 Keep in mind that it can be very traumatic for any pet to be incorrectly introduced to a new home. CAP has many suggestions on how best to do this so the transition is easy and stress free. The first step to the adoption process is to complete the adoption application. Follow directions below. Once reviewed, we will schedule a meet and greet. Do not submit an interest inquiry without a completed application, as it will delay the process. Adoption application can be found on our website. Follow directions to submit. www.companionanimalplacement.org Thanks for your interest in adopting a rescue!
