“My name is Darcy and I survived tropical storm Imelda along with my mom and my sister Marcy, but I’ve been kind of scared.  After the storm we were caught and lived with our rescuers for quite a while, but they have a busy household with a lot of fur babies; they knew I needed a new home so I could get the attention I deserve.  I really need a home that is calm and quiet and an adopter or adopters with patience. If Marcy could be adopted with me that would make things so much easier.

I’m sweet and I crave affection, sometimes I just get scared kind of easily. When I was out in the woods after Imelda it was scary and sometimes, I think I got hurt and that makes me wary. I love being scratched and massaged behind my ears and on my neck.  I’m curious about humans and you can hear me purr from the other side of the room. I’m a playful guy; Marcy and I really love to play together and I’m good with other cats.  I’m going to need your help so I can come out of my shell more and feel safe.  I hope you’re up for the task because I know I’m worth it 100 times over.”
