Sammy is a 2 year old DSH sweet boy that had some very bad luck in life. He was shot with a BB gun which left him paralyzed for life, the bullet is locked in the spine canal and cannot be removed as it will cause more harm then good doing so.
Sammy has been seen by the best veterinarians in Florida Doctor Jim Cook his neurologist as well as his to vet surgeons Doctor Avery Bennet at Blue Pearl in Forth Lauderdale and Doctor Mark Havig at Blue Pearl in Naples. All of his doctor agree that the bullet cannot be removed and that Sammy will never walk again. :(
The bullet even though is there is not causing him any discomfort and neither pain and as you can see in his video he get around just perfect in his wheels.
Sammy is paralyzed from the waist down and due to the fact he needs to have his bladder expressed several times a day, he needs to be cleaned and bathed daily as well.
He can get frustrated when his bladder is expressed and can overreact,
He is not too thrilled when he is put in his wheelchair but it is necessary to get him moving and get his blood flowing. When he is not in his wheels strolling around he wear a diapers and moved around on his own.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
