Description:
Charlie was hit by a car and permanently injured one of his front paws. Fortunately that doesn’t stop this sweet mackerel tabby cat from getting around and living a normal cat life. Charlie can even climb to the top of cat trees and cages. He may be a little slower than a fully functioning four-legged cat but he is very resourceful and determined. Charlie has also recently been diagnosed with diabetes which is manageable just like it is in humans. But because Charlie requires insulin as a maintenance medication and regular vet visits to ensure he stays on a good health path we are looking for someone who can care for Charlie as a permanent foster. This means AALOC will pay all the medical expenses for Charlie but he will live with you as your own cat.

Charlie is a bit shy at first but like most mackerel tabbies once he warms up he is a very affectionate feline. He likes being held and is pretty good at sitting on your lap or just reclining next to you on the couch. Mackerel tabbies are known to be very curious and intelligent and overall a very friendly and loyal pet. Charlie would make a great best friend.

Please submit an application to permanently foster Charlie at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Charlie during visiting hours (10am to 3pm daily) and get to know him a bit.

For more information on AALOCs foster programs policies please visit our website at www.aaloc.org or contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org, or by phone (714)893-4393.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
