Elias has gone through an amazing transformation in the time we have had him. He is now in a foster with two older kids who keep him active and entertained. He gets lots of attention and has an outlet to burn off his energy. Hes still not too comfortable with getting petted, but he rubs on their legs when its mealtime and he continues to show off his quirks, like lying in the tub and battling the shower curtain liner. (See video) Elias has reminded us that we cannot draw conclusions or rush to judgment when cats from unknown backgrounds (he was found on West 26th st and Broadway as an unneutered male about 2yrs old) are initially naughty, bitey or difficult. Treating them with patience and kindness and being persistent oftentimes chips away at their fear or helps a socially awkward fella become a wonderful pal to have around.
