Louie is a retired TomCat who has spent all of his life outside. He has come to that age now where he prefers to be indoors only, on a soft pillow, preferably on a window sill. At 9 Lives Cat Rescue we have monitored him now for several weeks and he has shown no aggression, even no interest at all, towards other cats. He just wants to watch the world for the little remaining time he has left.

Louie has almost no teeth left in his mouth and prefers soft/ canned food but will also eat the occasional dry food. He is not a lap cat and does not care much for petting, he doesnt mind the occasional conversation where he remains a silent listener. If he is approached too quickly though he is usually spooked and will hiss to make a point.

We at 9 Lives Cat Rescue are looking for a home for him where he can spend his few remaining years at a home that will love him but is ok with only limited affection coming from him. Not really surprising, but he tested positive for Feline Leukemia, which can be transferred through mating and deep bite wounds. At 9 Lives Cat Rescue we believe he would be ok in a household as a single cat, with other cats that are laid back like him and are vaccinated for Felv.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
