Description:
Meet Buddy! (More pictures of Buddy coming soon)! Buddy is a sweet senior in need of a loving retirement home.

It’s always a little heartbreaking when a senior is surrendered into our care, especially one who was loved and happy. Sadly, Buddys former owners surrendered Buddy to our shelter on the same day the owners were moving out of province. We are determined to find this handsome and sweet boy a loving retirement home where he can resume life as a pampered pet.

Buddy is a gentle, sweet, adorable, lovable, good-natured, calm, friendly , quiet and affectionate cat, who loves human companionship. He loves to be stroked and will often return his affection with head butts and purring, and kisses. Buddy is happiest when he is with people. Buddy did share a home with a female cat.

Transitioning from a quiet and stable home to a shelter was not easy for Buddy. Having lost all that was familiar to him, understandably, he was scared and confused, and he just wanted to go home. We’re glad to share that in the time he has been with us, he is beginning to settle in. Buddy does well within the main colony of cats.

At 13 years of age, Buddy may not be a spring chicken, but he is healthy (he had a checkup with our vet) and despite being slightly overweight, he is still quite agile.

Although he is doing her best to adapt, a shelter is not a home. Buddy deserves to live out his years in a loving forever home where he can be happy again.

If you have a little extra room in your heart for this affectionate, calm and gentle cat, we’d love to hear from you.
