Description:
Percy ended up being a love bug - a total surprise to his rescuers who assumed by his war-torn appearance that he was a feral tom cat who had lived outdoors his whole life. This grizzled sweetheart absolutely loves people. He asks for love and attention all the time but be careful if he shows you his belly - its a trap! He is not the biggest fan of belly rubs and he is just showing you how much he trusts you.

He likes to play with wand toys (like, a lot) and enjoys displaying his strength and athletic prowess. He is a very active cat and needs a home where he will get a lot of time and attention. He enjoys interactive play with his humans, automated toys, cat scratchers with dangling toys, self-play toys...you name it, Percy likes it!

Percy loves females cats and will welcome them and be interested right away in making friends with them. He respects them when they ask for space. Percy cannot live with another male cat, so he is looking for a female feline in his forever home.

Percy has had some health issues that improved over his time in foster. He had an eyelid condition that was causing chronic irritation, so he underwent entropion surgery, which has helped significantly. He also had some skin issues that may be caused by a poultry allergy or intolerance, as once he was put on a limited ingredient salmon diet, the issues started to resolve. He is currently on Performatrin Limited Ingredient salmon food for both dry and wet food that should be maintained in his forever home. Percy has an excellent appetite and is generally curious about food. He will want to know what you have for dinner and try to ask for some but dont give in! Percy will try to jump on the table and sneak what you may leave behind.

He can be a chatty cat and loves to talk when he wants something, whether food or affection and attention.

He does have anxiety that manifests in overgrooming on his belly. His fosters treatment plan includes lots of regular playtime and a calming pheromone diffuser.

He is estimated to be 3.5 years old.
