Dashing Maverick is revved up and ready to soar with his new human regiment!

Recently rescued with the rest of his Top Gun squadron from a hoarding situation, Maverick is more than jazzed to help you navigate home life as a steady co-pilot. 

During his transition to life at EHS and now in foster care, it’s become clear to us that this lovely little fella hasn’t lost that loving feeling at all. 

We’re not sure about speed, but Maverick unquestionably feels the need for affection. Instead of buzzing towers, this adorable fly boy is far more interested in rubbing your legs. Characterized as a “suck” (in the most charming way possible!), Maverick enjoys following his humans around and “helping” with daily tasks. You couldn’t ask for a better wingman. At least, when he isn’t interested in more direct, loving attention! 

Shy to begin his stay at the EHS command post, Maverick has since developed a real appetite for tender loving care – to the point of trying to steer pets away from other members of his troop. Offering scritches to one of his buddies, such as Wolfman or Goose, is fine by Maverick, as long as he commands loving affectionate favour from your other hand. This top-billed star isn’t above sharing, at least. And when it comes to receiving scritches, Maverick still prefers rubs to the head, face, and chin and less so to his middle and lower back. Attention to that “flight suit” area could earn you a minor swat.

Like so many cats coming from hoarding situations, Maverick would best suit a home with another feline or two. He’s currently at his most relaxed when lying with one of his Top Gun pals.

The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home a feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200. Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furrballs for $350! Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption.
