***IN FOSTER*** How you doin’, Joey? Joey is a handsome brown tabby with a little white on him (white like paper, snow, or a ghost). This gentle cat was a rescue from Quebec who made his way to EHS alongside his friends Rachel, Phoebe, and Monica. Now that he’s settled into life in Etobicoke, Joey is looking to make a furrrever friend or pawrent and find his purrrmanent home. Volunteers all describe Joey as sweet, curious, and playful. He has been a little shy and skittish since coming into his new environment, but his curiosity always gets the best of him. Once he warms up to a new space, whenever anyone visits, his instinct to investigate kicks in; if approached slowly and gently, he’ll be quite happy to receive some pets and affection. While he likes affection, Joey’s real passion is play. He adores feathers and wands, and is happy to get a high intensity workout in by jumping around and pouncing after them. Once he gets to know you better, he can be pretty chatty and, to grab your attention, will even unleash some of the cutest meows you’ve ever heard! Joeys best friends will be his people because he should be the only cat in the household. Joey is on a urinary diet and his litter output should be monitored. This little guy can be a bit skittish, so he would probably do best in a home without small children. He would prefer a pawrent that is patient and willing to give Joey all the time he needs to settle into a new environment. Does Joey seem like the purrrfect friend for you? If so, contact EHS to learn more about him. Perhaps he’ll even be willing to share some food with you! -------------------- The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home a feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200. Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furrballs for $350! Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption. -------------------- Interested in adopting Joey? Its easy! Just Click "Adopt a Cat" on the EHS website (etobicokehumanesociety.com) and fill out our “Cat Adoption Form.” An EHS representative will be pleased to help guide you through our adoption procedure.
