Special Needs

Nicknamed Meeko because he purrs like a raccoon - Meeko is the raccoon on Pocahontas. Meeko/Sydney cannot hear you when call his name so name does not matter much to him but snuggles do matter.

Because he is mostly deaf he tends to be underfoot (would benefit from a quiet home) but depending on certain home situations we wouldnt rule out other homes-be detailed in your application!

If you have a resident dog that has a high prey/play drive, this little guy would not be a good fit as he cannot hear the dog coming and could get injured. WCAHS does not condone inside-outside cats except if they are on a leash. Sydney has to be part of a responsible home where he would not be allowed outside!

Being partially deaf he cannot hear cars, people or other predators that could come up on him. We feel he had some sort of trauma as a kitten which caused the partial deafness. He came into us very battered. Had a short stay at the vet clinic before he could go home to the foster.

But today, he is able to run and play and function as a normal kitten. Enjoys interaction with resident cats and dogs and loves people. LOVES to play with any and all cat toys.

He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
