Additional Information: Bailey is a beautiful and regal cat who carries himself with a sphinx-like calm air. He is very affectionate and loves attention but is also happy to hang out by himself and does not need to be with you constantly. Bailey is not a cat to demand your constant attention, rather he is that true friend who stays by your side through thick and thin. He is a little shy of loud noises and has displayed an amazing ability to squeeze himself into tiny, safe spaces. Dont worry, when you call him he will pull himself back out ready for some love and attention. Bailey loves the sound of running water and will come running when he hears any! Hell then demand fresh cold water in his bowl and then lap contentedly. In his free time, Bailey loves to look out the window at the city life going by. When hes had an eyeful, hell find a nice quiet spot to take a nap in the sunshine, or crawl back underneath the dresser for a nap where he wont be disturbed. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. 
Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a negative mother in foster care. 

Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
