DANNY is a special and adorable 3 year old brown tiger.  He was born without hip bones so his back legs are not usable except for stability when he runs and walks.  We didn’t know what to expect for Danny’s future - we had x-rays taken and a specialist reviewed them and examined him.  The recommendation was to let him be because it would make him worse if the legs were splinted or wrapped, and he got along so good using his legs for stability.  Danny doesn’t know anything different because this is how he has been since birth and he gets along quite well.  

Danny is a happy boy who enjoys life.  He is the most affectionate and sweet cat who loves to cuddle with his fosters – both on the lap and nuzzling in their arms.  The minute you pick him up and cuddle him, he purrs loudly.  He likes to play with toys that he can bat across the floor and chase. Danny loves watching the fish in the fish tank - he can watch them swim for hours - and loves watching the birds out the window.  He likes to hang out with the foster’s older small dog so a mellow, small dog in his forever home would be ok – no active dogs who could run over him - and no young children or cats.  His foster mom says Danny makes her smile every day.

Danny has learned to climb up on furniture and he is so proud.  He needs a home that has some carpeting but he manages very well on the fosters hardwood floors just so he can have some carpeting for traction near the hardwood.  He can do a few stairs (maybe 3-4) - he just isnt able to jump.

Danny must be kept at a good weight so that he can still get around easily.  If he were to become over weight, it would put too much stress on his heart.
