Dont be fooled by the graying of his coat, Crusoe might look like an older dog but still has plenty of energy! This 25lb gentleman boasts that hes low maintenance and knows how to calm down and chill out after a good walk. Hes super social with both people and other dogs, curious about the world around him. His adorable docked tail and scar that left his lips a bit uneven only add character to this good boy. Like a cheese or fine wine, Crusoe wants you to know that dogs also only get better with age. With age comes wisdom, and we hope youre wise enough to get in your adoption request to meet Crusoe!

"We had a great week with Crusoe! He enjoyed playtime with squeaky toys, wrestling with our dog, and lots of scratches behind the ears. He gets along with other dogs, but also would do well as the only dog in the house. Hes very sweet and loves attention. He sleeps well through the night in his crate and settles down promptly when hes crated. Hes mostly potty trained but needs a little more training and supervision. He loved snuggling in a blanket. He was very well behaved in the car and enjoys sticking his nose out the window. Cruisin Crusoe LOVES going on walks and enjoys being outside. Hes a sweet boy who deserves a very loving home"!

"Crusoe was a good dog to host this weekend! He loved going for walks, was good in his crate and slept all night One thing was that he either is not used to stairs or just prefers not to use them! He enjoyed rides in the car and was well behaved. Super easy going and low maintenance! He will be an awesome addition to a fam with a low-key lifestyle".

"It was fun hosting Crusoe for the weekend. He is a well-behaved boy with a docile demeanor. His favorite things are walks around the neighborhood and chicken. Oh how he loves chicken! He did very well in his crate; slept the whole night without a peep. He is mostly housebroken but with a regular routine, he will get the hang of it. He is fairly good on a leash. He walks with an upbeat pace and can pull a bit if he spots a squirrel. However, a little training, hell be golden - we already saw improvement on day 2. Crusoe was a perfect gentleman when meeting other dogs or strangers. He doesnt know command words, but will usually respond to a soft whistle or thigh-pat as a beckoning call. He isnt too interested in toys but would rather just hang out with you. He is very food-driven, which might help with training".
