Spike is a 1 year old Flemish Giant Mix. He was found with 7 other rabbits dumped in Mcminnville. Hazels House doesnt normally take rabbits but we knew they needed help!! He is big yet not very brave, he prefers to know a person before being held. However, he is perfectly comfortable being pet and hand fed. He is extremely gentle and really loves to lay stretched out in front of a fan. His favorite snacks have been mainly fresh greens and celery, he isnt big on sweets like carrots or strawberry tops but loves his pellet food. He loves to eat and gets very excited whenever I place fresh hay in the pen. Though he enjoys roaming the backyard (under supervision of course) he is quite a lazy bunny and mostly naps while his brother runs after toys. He has gotten comfortable with my chiweenie and I entering the pen however he is much more cautious around new people and animals. He can also be a bit sensitive to loud noises and would probably prefer a somewhat quieter home. However, he has gotten used to the chaos at my home pretty quickly and no longer hides when he hears the train pass by, so he can adapt! Spike is a pretty simple little man who mostly just sleeps and eats, he would easily come to love a family that will take the time to earn his trust. He is also making great progress towards being litter box trained, however, he tends to accidentally miss the box and also knock it over. Practice makes perfect right!

In order to apply for one of our rabbits please provide photos or thoughts about the set up you would provide for him.

Mugzys adoption fee is $50. He is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, free of flea/mites, and had a wellness exam.
