Kenny is a Lemon Foxhound who is around 7 years old and 55lbs. He may have had a rough life before his rescue and, as such, it takes some time to earn his trust. He is reserved when meeting new people but responds enthusiastically to offers of treats. He has learned to trust and appreciate his devoted caretakers who adore him. He can be sensitive about being touched or handled, especially his feet. He is not one to cuddle but would enjoy sharing your space as a quiet, unobtrusive companion. We believe part of his sensitivity possibly comes from arthritis as he wasnt like this when he initially joined us. He is managing well on pain management with some medication. Any discomfort he may feel does not keep him from enjoying walks and he absolutely loves time outdoors! He basks contentedly in a fenced area and relishes sniffing and exploring, so a fenced yard in his new home would be fabulous. He is tolerant of other dogs but intense or rough play from an active, exuberant dog is too much for this mature gentleman. If you would like to help a dog who has waited a while, please consider opening your heart and home to Kenny.**BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA**
